Automation Project Specialist - Machine Build Controls

Join Our Team as an Automation Project Specialist at Johnson Electric! Location: Ancaster, ON (onsite). Salary Range: $80K-$95K annually. Vacancy Type: Existing position.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Program, debug, and commission PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize robotic cells, including vision and force monitoring systems.
• Support design, build, and startup of automation equipment and assembly lines.
• Modify existing production equipment and develop new automation solutions.
• Configure industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc.).
• Develop or modify LabVIEW-based programs for automation systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams during design and implementation.
• Support equipment commissioning at customer sites and provide technical support.
• Prepare technical documentation including manuals, setup procedures, and schematics.
