Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and modify automation systems including PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Troubleshoot automation‑related issues in both production and utilities areas.
• Support automation projects, including preparing SOW, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
• Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and timely completion.
• Ensure critical automation spare parts are available and properly maintained.
• Establish and manage the instrumentation calibration program, including certificate archiving.
• Maintain and back up PLC/SCADA programs, restoring when required.
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations for automation processes.
• Collaborate with the electrical and maintenance team to enhance equipment reliability.
• Support plant operations by ensuring automation systems meet safety and performance standards.
