Essential Responsibilities:

The designee is responsible for guiding and assisting host nation in the overall the safe and orderly flow of air traffic within their designated airspace. This designee maintains situational awareness of the overall flow of air traffic operations at the facility assigned and is responsible for all ATC facility operations and services during their shift. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outlined in FAA manuals and orders. The designee coordinates with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information. The designee will be familiar with radar or control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft.
