Assistant Vice President

Role Purpose:

Investment Banking Assistant Vice President is a mid-level executive at HC-IBD working closely with and reporting directly to their direct supervisors. AVPs role is a mix of deal sourcing, execution, and management of Associates at the firm. The balance will vary over time, but will always include a heavy component of outbound prospecting and transaction processing. The primary role of the Assistant Vice President is to be the “project manager,” whether for marketing activities or on a transaction. According to their assigned sector coverage, AVPs set sector strategies and continuously identify new opportunities/potential clients for the firm. AVPs maintain the department’s business relationships and are responsible for expanding and nurturing those relationships because they are able to articulate the firm’s views and sell its products and services effectively.
