Assistant, Midwife

Overview

The Assistant, Midwife will work under the supervision of a Midwife to provide basic maternal and newborn health services. The Assistant, Midwife is responsible for assisting the Midwife in conducting antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, and ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and babies. The Assistant, Midwife also participates in the promotion of maternal and newborn health, and the prevention of complications and infections. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Assist the Midwife in performing antenatal care, such as measuring blood pressure, weight, and fetal heart rate, and providing health education and counseling to pregnant women
