Assistant Chef

Woodlands Care Centre is seeking an Assistant Chef to join their friendly kitchen team based in Cambridge.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in the kitchen area, identify workloads and organize accordingly.
• Ensure the standards, cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen area and associated equipment.
• Adhere to the standard operating procedure of equipment and use, and meet Health and Safety Regulations and other regulations recommended by the Registering Authority.
• Responsible for cost control procedures and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare and review menus in conjunction with the General Manager.
• Understand the importance of providing the appropriate diets and special dietary needs.
• Perform other related duties not specifically enumerated in this job description, which may be assigned by the General Manager from time to time.
