Assistant Accountant

Beyond Talent is working with a well‑established, growing business in the Barnsley area to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their finance team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their experience across both transactional finance and month‑end processes - with full training and support provided.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in supporting the finance function, with responsibilities including:

• Managing the purchase ledger
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Supporting with accruals and prepayments
• Handling rebates and intercompany transactions
• Assisting with import‑related accounting
• Reconciling company credit cards
• Supporting the production of management accounts

This is a hands‑on role with plenty of exposure and the chance to really build on your accounting knowledge.
