APRA AMCOS Observership Program – 2026 Intake

About the Program

The APRA AMCOS Observership Program offers an opportunity to participate in a 12-month program to build experience and confidence in serving on a Board.  

Applications are now open for our 2026 Board Observership Program:

• One position is dedicated to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander APRA writer member.
• The second position is open to an APRA writer member from another underrepresented community that has had limited access to leadership opportunities due to structural barriers to participation.

What You’ll Gain

If selected as an APRA Board Observer, you will:

• Participate in high-quality, accredited board director training delivered by the Australian Institute for Company Directors (AICD) and The Ethics Centre, through The Observership Program.
• Join the APRA Board as an Observer for Board meetings held in 2026.
