Application Security

Role Overview:
The Security Officer – Application Security will be responsible for supporting application security initiatives, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and working closely with development and IT teams to ensure secure application design and deployment.

Key Responsibilities (Summary):

• Perform application security reviews and vulnerability assessments
• Support secure SDLC practices (code reviews, security testing, remediation tracking)
• Assist in identifying OWASP Top 10 risks and recommending mitigation measures
• Work with developers and infrastructure teams on security findings
• Support compliance and security documentation as needed

Core Skills / Requirements:

• Strong understanding of application security concepts
• Experience with OWASP Top 10, basic threat modeling
• Familiarity with SAST / DAST tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Fortify, Veracode, or similar)
