About the Role
An Algorithm Engineer for the USHER Earthquake and Structural Health Monitoring System will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing algorithms that process real-time vibration, acceleration, and structural response data from USHER sensors to detect earthquakes, assess building health, and generate timely alerts. The role involves applying signal processing, machine learning, and structural dynamics to derive actionable insights for infrastructure resilience, working closely with hardware, software, and data teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and intelligent system performance. Candidates must have a strong background in data analysis, programming (Python, MATLAB, or C++), and structural or earthquake engineering principles, with a passion for innovation and using technology to enhance public safety and disaster preparedness.
