5 Axis CNC PROGRAMMER

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations and programming

• To design and develop CNC programming for CNC milling machines, set up and adjust machines for production.
• Review drawings and specifications of a particular product and plan the production process, including where and how to cut the work piece, the correct tools and materials for the job and the sequence of steps to follow in production of the product.
• Problem solve and make decisions on ways to decrease cycle times and efficiency of setups.
• To work on the First Article Introduction (FAI) project and jig & fixture design
• To prepare and maintain all CAM files for the machining process.
• To verify the dimensional and cosmetic specifications of the workpiece using allocated measuring equipment according to technical drawing.
• Conduct continuous improvement plans on CNC programming to optimize process cycle time and quality.
