FortisBC is on the lookout for a dedicated Journeyperson Millwright, committed to ensuring the reliability of mechanical systems. Candidates must possess a Canadian Interprovincial Millwright Journeyperson Certificate. In addition to executing maintenance and installations, you will guide apprentices and other junior staff members, contributing to their skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Train and mentor apprentices and new entrants into the field
• Assume responsibilities of lower classification staff as necessary
Requirements:
• Valid Millwright Journeyperson Certificate required
• Familiarity with electrical utility procedures needed
• Knowledge of safety clearance and isolation requirements
