About the Role
Job Summary
To complete a 4‑year apprenticeship program in Tool and Die.
Knowledge And Skills (Education)
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have registration for Apprenticeship.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Available to work overtime when required.
- Must have and use own tools (Section TRP 008).
Major Accountabilities
- First‑year apprentice: run flycutters, stone forms, rough mill and drill blocks, clamp dies in press, load and unload dies from press.
- Second‑year apprentice: finish die components, fit components to dies, help toolmakers troubleshoot in press.
- Third‑year apprentice: begin building stations for dies from blue‑prints and start working independently.
- Fourth‑year apprentice: work almost at toolmaker's level; build stations to print under toolmaker supervision.
